See Victoria's Forestry Heritage - https://victoriasforestryheritage.org... This film, made in 1965, portrays daily life in a typical ‘timber town’ in Eastern Victoria in that era. The film briefly examines both town life, and the work in timber mills and in the forest. Erica began its growth after construction of the narrow-gauge railway line from Moe to Walhalla that opened in 1910; the line closing in 1954. About a year after the film was made the timber mill portrayed was closed.
