SUMMARY

This bibliography aims to present the essentials of the results of studies that were pursued in Victoria on forest and timber insects between 1962 and 1984 by the Forest Service, the Universities and other Tertiary Institutions, as well as the CSIRO Division of Chemical and Wood Technology. A 'Reference Section', an 'Author Index', an 'Index to Scientific Names of Invertebrates' and a 'General Index' to technical information are provided.

A total of 96 scientific papers, departmental technical papers, bulletins and unpublished research reports, as well as degree or diploma theses are cited by author(s), title, author's summary or abstract contained in either 'Forestry Abstracts' (Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux, UK) or the 'Review of Applied Entomology' Series A (Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux, UK). A synopsis written by the authors of this bibliography is used in cases where a summary of the article had not been prepared or needed substantial editing. In a few papers the summary section has been expanded by additional facts that are embodied in the text, but are excluded from the original summary or abstract.
